5 Social Media Goals for Your Business
As the year comes to a close, it’s time to start thinking about a few goals. Here are 5 Social Media Goals for Your Business.
1. Increase consistency.
By increasing the number of posts, you’re likely to have more people see your posts and ideally, more interactions. Don’t worry about posting too much – there’s no such thing. Experiment with increased posts and see how it works. A word of caution, don’t post for the sake of posting. Make sure you still have good content.
2. Engage More.
If you are going to increase your posts, you should see an increase in engagement. You can’t just post something out there and forget about it. If people are responding to your posts make sure you’re responding back. This lets them know that you’re a real person and, that you care about what your customers have to say.
3. Share More. There’s no doubt you are good at what you do. It is likely that you are already checking out what industry leaders are up to. When you find something interesting, don’t be afraid to share what you have found. When you share someone’s content, make sure you link to their site or tag them in the post. This way, they know you’re sharing and just might reciprocate later.
4. Consider New Platforms.
Social media is always changing and that’s good. It means there are always new platforms to experiment with. If you’ve only been on Facebook, try something new to reach customers. Platforms like Twitter, Pinterest and, Linkedin are all great for business.
5. Keep Learning.
When you set the above goals, you’ve got a pretty good plan for 2014. You can always learn more so, consider participating in a webinar, ask your colleagues how their business uses social media or, follow a blog like this one, that can help social media work for you.
